JUST SOLD TO CLUBHOUSE JR. MAGAZINE!

How Excited am I!!

Clubhouse Jr., a division of Focus on the Family, has contracted to purchase my poem for their summer 2014 magazine. How did this come about? Let me tell you the story…clubjr-logo.ashx

Last February, I attended the Christian Writer’s Conference in Eustis where I studied under the amazingly talented Crystal Bowman. During her class, we were told, as homework, to write a poem around a theme. The next morning, we each read our poem. Crystal told me to immediately go seek out Clubhouse Jr. editor, Jesse Florea, which of course I did. He read it, loved it, and I emailed it to him on the spot from my iPad (gotta love technology!)

Jesse and I emailed back and forth several times, but the sale wasn’t confirmed until yesterday. This is a huge honor and an amazing credential!

Focus on the Family Clubhouse Jr. is a 32-page magazine designed to inspire, entertain and teach Christian values to children ages 3 to 7. With a circulation of approximately 60,000, the magazine reaches young readers and their parents all over the world.

Congrats, Jaimie! That’s a good credit for your resume and a fine magazine to partner with. I’ve made a number of sales because of attending the same conference you mentioned. The leadership team at FCWC does an excellent job putting that together!

    1. They sure did. I had a fun time, and I loved the fact that all the editors and agents were completely accessible for the entire weekend. That was amazing. Thanks for commenting!

    1. Thanks, Joe. It’s an incredible position to be in when you get to inspire children and teach them the lessons you wish you’d learned when you were their age! πŸ™‚
