It started off with an awesome author visit with some amazing kids at Discovery Elementary School. I visited with over 1,000 students in grades K-6.
We played games, watched the book trailer, and talked a lot about bullying, its effects, and how we can prevent it. At the end of the day, the parents were invited to listen to my presentation and ask questions as they prepared to continue the conversation on bullying at home with their children.
Discovery generously purchased and donated one book to each family that showed up to the after school session.
Thursday afternoon, I taught at the Suntree Library during the second of 8 months of FREE workshops for advanced writers. We talked about creating purposeful and believable coincidence. It was a great class!
The next session will be March 26th from 4:30 to 5:30. More details on the sidebar of my website.
A big thank you to the Legion for brining me out, and to all the families who have offered to help bring me to their school for an author talk about bullying!
What can I say? I love my job! I love meeting fans and making new friends.
