Today, I was treated like a star!
The students of Suntree Elementary have spent the past several months reading and studying Clifton Chase and the Arrow of Light, and they invited me to their class to show off what they’ve learned.
Several groups formed and each chose a unique way to express their summation of a particular chapter(s). One group created costumes. Another worked on a diorama of the final battle. Several created sets in Minecraft. And one wrote a play that they performed for me!
It was absolutely amazing. I was truly floored to see them grasp onto the book and enjoy it so thoroughly.
We spent a bit of time in a Q&A session and they asked some great questions! In the end, I challenged them to come up with a character name for the sequel (yes, I’m working on a sequel!) after I shared the story line and specific character description for them to research.
I can’t say anymore just yet. I promised them an exclusive look into the next book. But when I go back later this year to see their final projects and choose the winning name, I’ll share in a post where Clifton will be having his next adventure!
